Answers to what we are asked most — ordering, shipping, documentation, and how our materials are tested. Everything below describes logistics, documents, and laboratory practice. Nothing on this page describes use.
Ordering
How do I place an order?
Select a material from the research catalog, choose a quantity, and add it to your cart. Each product page shows the current lot, the laboratory that tested it, and the reported result before you commit to anything. You will acknowledge our Research Use Only notice during checkout.
Can I change or cancel an order after placing it?
Write to support@thebriarroseco.com as soon as possible. Orders placed before the same-day cut-off move to packing quickly, and once a parcel has been handed to the carrier we cannot recall it. If you reach us before it ships, we will make the change.
Do you offer volume pricing?
Yes. Discounts begin at a $300 order value and increase again at $500, applied at checkout. For standing or institutional arrangements, write to support@thebriarroseco.com and we will set something up directly.
Shipping
When will my order ship?
Orders placed before 2:00 PM CT on a business day are dispatched the same day. Orders after the cut-off, or on a weekend, go out on the next business day. Every product page shows a live countdown to the current cut-off so you are never guessing.
What does shipping cost, and where do you ship?
Standard shipping is complimentary on every order, with no minimum. We ship within the United States only — we do not currently ship internationally.
How is material packaged?
Vials are packed to arrive intact and unlabeled as to contents on the outside of the parcel. Lyophilized peptides are stable at ambient temperature for the duration of normal domestic transit, which is one reason we ship only within the United States.
The Materials
What does “Research Use Only” actually mean?
It means these materials are supplied for laboratory research only. They are not drugs, dietary supplements, cosmetics, or medical devices, they are not for human or animal consumption, and they have not been evaluated for any therapeutic purpose. Our full Research Use Only notice and Terms & Conditions govern every order. We do not provide guidance on use, and we cannot answer questions that assume it.
How should material be stored?
Lyophilized material should be kept sealed, cold, and out of light — standard practice for peptides in this form. Storage conditions after delivery are outside our control, which is why our documentation describes the material as it was tested rather than as it will be held.
What is bacteriostatic water for?
It is sterile water containing a preservative that inhibits bacterial growth, used as a laboratory reconstitution solvent for lyophilized materials. We stock it as a laboratory consumable. We do not provide reconstitution or handling protocols.
Testing & Documentation
Are your materials third-party tested?
Yes, and by laboratories with no commercial stake in the result — currently Janoshik Analytical and Accumark Labs. Testing is performed per lot, not once per product line, and the issuing laboratory is named on the certificate itself.
How do I find the certificate for the lot I received?
Every product page displays the current lot’s certificate data — laboratory, lot number, test date, labeled and measured content, and reported purity — with a link to the complete certificate as issued. Match the lot number printed on your vial to the lot number on the certificate. If they do not match, that certificate is not evidence about your vial; write to us and we will send the right one.
What does the purity figure mean?
Purity is determined by high-performance liquid chromatography and reported as the percentage of total chromatographic peak area attributable to the target compound. It describes the relative proportion of detected components under that method’s conditions. It is not a statement about sterility, endotoxin, residual solvents, or stability — a material can be highly pure by HPLC and never have been tested for any of those.
Why do some certificates not list sterility or endotoxin?
Because those assays were not performed on that lot. A certificate reports the tests that were run; where an assay was not run, our product pages show it as not reported rather than omitting the row or implying a result. Sterility and endotoxin are the two most commonly assumed and least commonly tested. We would rather show you a gap than let you infer something the laboratory never measured.
Pricing & Origin
Why are your peptides a little more expensive?
Because The Briar Rose Company is a Veteran-Owned Business whose entire chain sits in the United States, and domestic capacity costs more than the alternative.
The material is manufactured domestically. It is filled, labeled, and inspected here. The analytical work is done by independent U.S. laboratories, per lot rather than per product line. Orders are picked, packed, and shipped from the United States, and when you write to us a person here answers.
None of that is the cheapest way to run this business. Overseas synthesis with one representative certificate reused across many lots is materially less expensive, and that difference accounts for most of the price gap you will see between suppliers. What the difference buys is a chain short enough to audit: a lot number stamped on the vial in your hand that resolves to a document issued by a laboratory we name.
We would rather charge a few dollars more than ask you to trust a document you cannot trace. Complimentary domestic shipping is included on every order, with no minimum and no threshold to reach.
Is The Briar Rose Company veteran-owned?
Yes. The Briar Rose Company is a Veteran-Owned Business. It shows up in how we operate rather than in how we advertise: documentation that reports only what was measured, unreported assays shown as unreported, and a domestic supply chain we can account for end to end.
What is your return policy?
All sales are final. Because the integrity of a research material depends on handling we cannot observe once it leaves us, we do not accept returns or issue refunds except as required by law. If a product arrives defective or damaged, notify us in writing at support@thebriarroseco.com within seven days of delivery; if we verify the defect, we will replace the product or refund it. The full terms are in our Refund and Returns Policy.
Support
How do I reach you?
Write to support@thebriarroseco.com or use the contact form. Questions about documentation — a lot number, a certificate, an assay that is not reported — are the ones we answer best and fastest.
All products supplied by The Briar Rose Company are for laboratory research use only. They are not for human or animal consumption, and are not drugs, dietary supplements, cosmetics, or medical devices.
